I LOVE visiting small towns in December! I'm originally from Ottawa, and always looked forward to day and weekend trips away from the city this time of year. There is a quieter vibe, a slower pace that really allows you to be present and take in the Christmas spirit. It’s so nice to get away from the hustle and bustle and really soak in the magic and joy. Not only are there unique shops with delightfully decorated storefront windows to peruse through in the village, but there are always charming Christmas markets to attend as well!
